I'm pretty sure I read a take very similar to this somewhere else, but if you train an AI exclusively on Disney-owned content and then started putting out images and movies based on it, would we get some decisive legal opinion eventually on whether it constitutes a breach of copyright?

@grimmware this might be different in different legal regions, but I thought that unless they had permission to use the training data in that way it is a breach

@chebe which begs the question "how do you prove provenance of training data?"

@grimmware I think this is the problem Stable Diffusion is facing right now. A tell is if your AI can generate images of actual people, did they or their agents sign anything to permit that?
